On Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, at 11:01 a.m., Adair County Deputy Sheriff Gary Roy was dispatched to Oak Grove Road, 6 miles east of Columbia.
Upon arrival it was found that Morgan Reece, 84, of Columbia, had lost control of his 1991 Chevrolet truck, left the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Reece was treated on scene by Adair EMS and transported by Air Evac helicopter to the University of Kentucky Hospital.
Deputy Roy continues the investigation.
