On Friday, March 15th, 2024, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported collision on Lampton Lane, 3 miles north of Columbia.
Preliminary investigation shows that Anne Compton, 63, of Columbia, was operating a 2023 Toyota on Lampton Lane, when she left right shoulder of the roadway.
Compton was unable to recover her vehicle back onto the roadway, striking a culvert and earth embankment.
Compton received treatment on scene from Adair County EMS and was then transported to TJ Health Columbia for additional treatment.
The collision is being investigated by Deputy Gary Roy, who was assisted by Deputy Emily Wall.
Adair County 911, Adair County Sheriff, Adair County EMS and Columbia-Adair County Fire Department all responded to the scene.
