On Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 at around 4:28 p.m., Adair County Deputy Sheriff Josh Durbin received a call from 911 of a disturbance off of KY 80 east at a residence near the Russell County line.
It was also reported that the individual at the residence had warrants for his arrest.
Upon arrival the male attempted to elude Deputy Durbin, but was quickly caught and a struggle ensued.
The male, identified as Heath Necessary, 42, was taken into custody without injury.
Necessary was transported and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center on the charges of Fleeing and Evading Police (2nd degree – On Foot), Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance (1st degree – Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
In addition, Necessary was served Warrants of Arrest from Adair County and Russell County for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration, Persistent Felony Offender and Failure to Appear (2 Counts)
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation.
