COLUMBIA, KY. (01/13/2026) Four Russell County residents have leadership positions this school year at Lindsey Wilson University.
Mynor Chic ’29 of Russell Springs, Kentucky, is vice president of the university’s freshman class. The freshman class vice president is also a member of the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association. Chic is an engineering mechanics major.
Makayla Melson ’26 of Russell Springs is a commuter representative in the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association. Melson is a biology major with an emphasis in health and medicine.
Luke Popplewell ’29 of Russell Springs is president of the university’s freshman class. The freshman class president is also a member of the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association. Popplewell is a business administration major with an emphasis in accounting.
Cade Ramsey ’27 of Russell Springs is a commuter representative in the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association. Ramsey is a history and social studies second education major.
The Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association is responsible for coordinating student clubs and organizations, student development, and student leadership. In addition to serving as a voice for student concerns and needs, the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association assists with planning, promoting and organizing student activities and community service projects.
