Campbellsville University’s Chapel To Showcase Discussion On State Of Gospel Music

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University’s chapel this Wednesday, Feb. 21, will feature Anthony Christian, pastor of Bates Memorial Baptist Church in Louisville, and Chris Smith, a well-known gospel singer here in Kentucky. The chapel will also feature the worship team from Bates Memorial Baptist Church.

The chapel service starts at 10 a.m. in CU’s Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Avenue in Campbellsville.

“This will be an inspiring time of amazing Gospel music and celebrating the rich tradition of Gospel music,” Jamie Lawrence, executive director of ministry and church outreach, said.

The chapel will dig into Gospel music from traditional genres to modern styles.

“We look forward to a brief discussion with Pastor Anthony and our friend and incredible musician, Chris Smith, on the state of Gospel music today and where it is headed,” Lawrence added. “You do not want to miss this incredible worship team.”

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.
