On Monday, June 10th, 2024, Jyn Yates, an Adair County native will be making a presentation to the Adair County Library.
She is an accomplished drummer and is in a book about women drummers from prehistoric times until the present.
Understand the book follows Viola Smith, who died at age 109, and created the first all female orchestra during World War II.
She will be presenting a copy of the book to the Adair County Library in memory of her grandmother, Dimple Yates.
