Adair County Woman Arrested And Charged After Multiple Complaints On Greenhills Road

On Monday, March 18th, 2024 at 6:10 p.m., the Adair County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1100 block of Greenhills Road on a disturbance call.

The call was in reference to Chasity Marcum, 35, of Columbia.

Earlier in the day law enforcement agencies had responded numerous times and on multiple complaints to Marcum.

Upon arrival of Deputy Derek Padgett, Marcum was determined to be manifestly under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

Marcum became aggressive toward Deputy Padgett and at that point, she was advised that she was under arrest.

Marcum began to resist arrest, but was taken into custody without injury, after a physical altercation with the deputy.

Marcum was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by Deputy Padgett on the charges of Public Intoxication (Excludes Alcohol), Resisting Arrest, Menacing and Disorderly Conduct.
