Adair County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Columbia Man On Terroristic Threatening, Fleeing And Evading, Possession Charges

On Monday, February 23rd, 2026, at approximately 4:00pm, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office responded to 165 Lakeview Drive, to a report of a man brandishing a machete and making threats.  

Upon deputies arrival and approach to the residence, a male subject jumped from a window.  

The male ignored commands to stop and fled into a wooded area.  

Deputies began a line search and was able to locate the male hiding in a creek in the woods.  

After a preliminary investigation the male was identified as, Ryan Sneed, 38, of Columbia. 

Sneed was arrested by Deputy Emily Wall and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on the following charges: 

•Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree 

•Fleeing and Evading in the 3rd Degree  

•Possession of Marijuana  

•Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense. (Methamphetamine)  

Deputy Wall was assisted on scene by Deputies Joey Keith, Brandon Hitch, and Josh Durbin.
