From Sheriff Gary Roy: Adair County businesses and citizens need to be aware that the Adair County Sheriff’s Office has had two complaints from individuals that they have received counterfeit money.
The denominations so far have been a twenty dollar bill and a five dollar bill.
Businesses and individuals are advised to check all cash closely.
If you feel you have gotten a counterfeit bill, contact your local authorities or your local bank.
