Adair County Man Arrested On Multiple Charges After Search Of Residence On Sulfur Springs Road

On Monday, May 13th, 2024 at around 10:45 a.m., Adair County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, along with Kentucky Department of Probation and Parole Officers, went to a residence on Sulfur Springs Road in northern Adair County. 

Officers were investigating complaints of possible drug activity in the area.

After conducting a search of the residence, owner Joseph Smith, 62, of Columbia was arrested. 

Smith was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (1st degree Cocaine), Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia by Possession.

Deputy Gary Roy is leading the investigation.

Deputy Roy was assisted by Deputy Tweedy and Officer Harvey and Officer Garner from Probation and Parole.
