The SAR organizational meeting scheduled for 5pm, Monday, January 6th, has been postponed due to the continued weather issues. This will be pushed forward to the February meeting of the Adair Genealogical Society, which will fall on 3rd.

The next regular meeting of the Adair County Genealogical Society will be on Monday, January 6th, 2025, at the Adair Genealogy & History Research Center, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, at 5pm CT.
The subject will be Sons of the American Revolution [SAR] and the beginning effort to create a chapter in Adair County.
Any descendant of an individual who was a soldier/sailor or who provided patriotic service to the cause for independence during the Revolution is eligible for membership in SAR and DAR. [Sons in SAR and Daughters in DAR]. Lineage must be documented and that is what is meeting helps to address.
Come be part of this historic move toward a local SAR chapter.
