Adair County Genealogical Society, Adair Genealogy & History Research Center Schedule: November 2025

Adair County Genealogical Society and Adair Genealogy & History Research Center have the following on our upcoming schedule: 

November 3—Adair County Genealogical Society regular meeting—program: Thanksgiving/Mayflower history, Annita Dial. 5pm at the Research Center. Refreshments after the program. 

November 3-29—During the month of November the Research Center will have military items and research materials on display in honor of all Veterans. 

November 1-29—You Define It…a Word Contest sponsored by the Adair Arts Council. Entries due by November 1. Judging by Thanksgiving week; winners announced in December. 

November 8—Annual Adair Regional Book and Craft Fair at the VFW building. 10-2. Co-Sponsored by the Adair Arts Council. Set-up after 8am. 

November 10-15—Folk Art Exhibit: Local folk art creators are invited to enter items for this one-of-a-kind local artist show. Hand crafted works of art from carved pieces to paintings and more… 

November 11—Veterans Day! Research Center is closed in honor. 

November 24—Tree Decorating Contest, sponsored by the Research Center and the Adair Arts Council: Groups, organizations, businesses, and individuals are invited to bring a small tree [4 feet or under] to the Research Center and decorate it with a theme that illustrates their business or craft or part in the community. These will remain on exhibit through the end of December. Battery operated lights may be utilized. 

November 27, 28, 29 Research Center and Library are closed for Thanksgiving. 

December 1—Adair County Genealogical Society’s annual Christmas Social with a program of Show-and-Tell, where each person may bring an item and share its history. Refreshments. 

December 24, 25, 26 & 31—Research Center and Library are closed for Christmas break and New Year’s Eve.
