COLUMBIA, KY. (02/04/2026) Area residents can attend one of the biggest rivalries in Kentucky college athletics while also supporting a good cause on Feb. 19.

That’s when the Lindsey Wilson University women’s and men’s basketball teams play Georgetown College at Biggers Sports Center while also bringing attention to the Green Dot Program — an effort to raise awareness of and prevent sexual assault.

The women’s game begins at 5:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 19, followed by the men’s game, which is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. CT.

“Kentuckians love basketball, so we thought that a doubleheader between two big in-state rivals would be an excellent way to educate more people about the Green Dot program,” said Lindsey Wilson Director of Student Activities Stephanie Blackwood, who is organizing and coordinating the event.

The Green Dot is a is a research-based violence-prevention program that teaches volunteers to recognize the warning signs of stalking, sexual assault, and dating and domestic violence. Green Dot empowers Lindsey Wilson employees and students with tools and knowledge to intervene and diffuse dangerous situations.

“We appreciate the strong partnership we have with our friends at Adanta,” said Blackwood. “Educating people about stalking, sexual assault, and dating and domestic violence requires a lot of people working together toward the same goal, and fortunately we have that support in Columbia-Adair County.”
