Adair County Genealogy & History Research Center’s Photography Contest Returns For Downtown Days 2025

The Downtown Days Photography Contest is back in 2025! 

The photography Contest is hosted by the Adair County Public Library’s Genealogy & History Research Center, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. 

Photographs should be taken in Columbia and Adair County, subject matter is up to the photographer. 

Entries must be printed in an 8 x 10 inch format–portrait or landscape. 

Both color and black & white are welcome. 

Three photos by an entrant are the limit due to space for display. 

Entries must be turned in to the Research Center before 5pm on October 7th to be displayed. 

Each entry must have the printed name of the entrant, contact phone number.

Photographs will be displayed at the Research Center during operating hours–9am-5pm each day beginning October 8th through Saturday the 11th. 

An independent judging team of three will select the first, second and third place winners.

Everyone is encouraged to come by and view all the entries. Each person may then vote for their favorite. This creates another winner–Public Favorite. 

Results of the contest will be announced before/between concert performances on the evening of Saturday, October 11th.
