Columbia as a newly minted University town is excited to celebrate Lindsey Wilson University week September 8th-12th, 2025.
Each day of the week will focus on a unique part of LWU.
Monday will focus on economic impact in the community as Lindsey Wilson hosts a special interview with Economic Development Authority chairman Larry Walker.

The Volleyball team will also be in action, playing a double header in Nashville on Saturday including a game against division 1 Mississippi Valley State and the week will come to a close as LWU football hosts St. Thomas University at Parnell Family Stadium.
Wednesday will be focused on Lindsey Wilson University’s large international student population and all the amazing work that is done by their International Center.
Thursday is our prior advertised Paint the Town Blue day. This is a day where Columbia residents are encouraged to wear blue, local businesses are asked to decorate blue, and chalk painting sidewalks around our community blue is encouraged.
Friday will feature prominently students as they discuss their journey to Lindsey Wilson and Columbia as well as their time at Lindsey and plans beyond.
Throughout the entire week Mayor Pamela Hoots will have special pictures, videos, stories, and interviews about the University and its impacts on our community available on her Facebook.
