CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University’s School of Business, Economics and Technology (SoBET) has received reaffirmation of its accreditation from the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) for its business programs.
The reaffirmation follows an extensive self-review by the SoBET of its compliance with the nine core principles defined by IACBE: Commitment to Integrity, Responsibility, and Ethical Behavior, Quality Assessment and Advancement, Strategic Planning, Business Curricula and Learning Opportunities, Business Faculty Characteristics, Activities, and Processes, Student Policies, Procedures and Processes, Resources Supporting Business Programs, External Relationships and Innovation in Business Education.
According to a statement from the IACBE on the reaffirmation, “In addition, the School of Business, Economics, and Technology has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education, and advancing academic quality in its business programs and operations.”
The self-study report required assessment of factors such as planning, ethics, university services, and faculty qualifications to ensure the SoBET is providing consistent, quality education to all students. The extensive nature of the report required efforts from all SoBET faculty and staff.
“Receiving reaffirmation of accreditation through IACBE is truly a testament to the dedication and hard work of our faculty, staff, and students within the School of Business, Economics and Technology,” Dr. Madison Duncan, assistant dean for undergraduate programs, said.
Duncan emphasized the self-study’s role in ensuring the SoBET is providing consistent, quality education to its students.
“While we are incredibly proud of this achievement, we will remain committed to continuous improvement and providing an exceptional learning experience to current and future students,” Duncan shared.
Dr. Preston Jones, dean of the SoBET, said, “On behalf of the faculty, we are honored to be recognized by the professional organization of our peers, IACBE. Each day, we strive to deliver high-quality business programs, centered in Christ, that prepare students to create value for the organizations they serve.”
Dr. Jeanette Parker, CU’s provost and vice president for academic affairs, shared, “Congratulations to the School of Business, Economics, and Technology for this wonderful recognition of their hard work and dedication to continuous improvement.
“Preparation for an accreditation visit requires tremendous time and effort. Even more, it requires doing the right things every day as they equip students with quality education experiences.”
