From creative workshops to virtual groups, Hosparus Health provides compassionate grief support tailored to every age.
(Campbellsville, KY) – As summer brings longer days and changing routines, it can also intensify feelings of loss. To help community members navigate these emotions, Hosparus Health Green River is offering a variety of free and low-cost grief support programs for individuals and families of all ages.
“Our programs are designed to offer more than just a safe space to talk—we help people find meaning, connection, and a path forward,” said Christy Morris, LCSW, MSW, grief counselor with Hosparus Health Green River. “Whether through creativity, movement, or shared stories, there’s a healing approach for everyone.”
Upcoming Grief Programming
Children ages 5–10 are invited to a monthly group featuring storytelling, guided conversation, snacks, and hands-on activities. Held at Taylor County Public Library, June through August.
This monthly crafting group explores grief as a creative process. Hosted at Taylor County Public Library.
Ongoing, peer-centered support for individuals coping with the death of a spouse or partner.
A virtual, peer-centered group for adults grieving the loss of someone significant.
Wandering Through Grief Walking Groups
Open to individuals age 8 and up (accompanied by an adult), this group offers space to reflect and connect while walking in nature.
Young Adult Grief Connection (Virtual)
A virtual, peer-centered space for adults ages 18–35 grieving the loss of someone close.
Programs are free of charge unless otherwise noted, thanks to the generous support of donors. Registration is required by visiting hosparushealth.org/grief-counseling or calling 270-789-4247.
Grief Counseling Services
Hosparus Health Green River offers grief services at no cost to families of hospice patients for up to 13 months after the loss of a loved one. For community members not enrolled in hospice care, we accept most major insurance plans, offer a sliding fee scale, and provide financial assistance to those who qualify.
