The Columbia City Council met in special session on Friday.
The council gave second reading of Ordinance 230.56, which is an update to the pay classification plan. The City of Columbia has worked with the Kentucky League of Cities on updating policies and procedures since the fall of 2023. (They received a grant from the Kentucky League of Cities to assist with the project).
The City Council gave approval of a change order for the ARC Gas Project relative to the Hudson Street and Greensburg Street area.
The City Council gave approval to a project extension date for Phase II of the ARC Gas Project relative to the Hudson Street and Greensburg Street area.
The City Council gave approval for the Mayor to apply for a Kentucky Utilities community grant. It will be designated for a drone for the Columbia Police Department.
Approval was given for the Mayor to proceed with applying for a Kentucky Product Development Initiative Grant relative to gas expansion.
