The October “To The Nines,” will be held on Friday, October 4, in Columbia. Businesses on and off the square participate in the monthly event in which businesses stay open to 9 p.m. for the shopper’s convenience. In October local businesses are encouraged to decorate their businesses with fall décor in the theme of “Fall Festival.” There will be a prize for one business’s decoration.
They plan on free popcorn, ice pops, and other items for children to enjoy as their parents shop.
The booths will be setup in the corner in front of the annex.
The following currently are scheduled:
Through The Fire Ministries hot dogs
Columbia Nazarene Church ice pops
Summit Manor Nursing Home Popcorn
Billy Pickett cotton candy
Mayor Hoots small pumpkins for children
For further information, contact Diana Withers at The Local Dwelling Company or Jessica Hatcher at Gypsy Jolee.
Other events will be scheduled throughout the remainder of the year. The Mayor’s Office encourages our residents to shop local.
