The contractor working on the new career and technology center in Campbellsville is replacing a pipe under KY 289 (Lebanon Avenue), which will require a short term closure of the road.
The work being done under a KYTC permit will begin on Sunday (September 22nd) with trenching across the road.
The road will be closed while work is taking place Sunday and reopened with a temporary plate over the trench.
Work will continue Monday with fill and asphalt patching taking place, which should be complete no later than Wednesday, weather permitting.
Work next week will take place with one lane open and flaggers directing traffic.
Motorists will need to plan an alternate route Sunday and may wish to do so early next week, as well.
