On Friday, May 24th, 2024 around 07:03 a.m., Adair County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Gary Roy and Sheriff Josh Brockman were dispatched to the 9000 block of  KY 80 East to check on the safety of residents.

Initially a call was placed to Probation Officer Dustin Harvey in Columbia, by a female stating that Robert Myeroff was holding her and 4 children in their home and not allowing them to leave.

Myeroff is under the supervision of the Kentucky Department of Probation and Parole.

Upon arrival of the Sheriff’s Office, it was found that the doors had been padlocked and reinforced.

Myeroff refused to open the door.

Eventually he was spotted by Deputy Roy going out a side door of the house.

Myeroff was taken into custody and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by Deputy Roy on the charges of Unlawful Imprisonment (2nd degree), Wanton Endangerment (3rd degree) and Public Intoxication.
