The City of Columbia will be sponsoring several events over the next few weeks.
June 24 the City will be participating in the June Dairy Day. They will have representatives of Future Farmers of America for a proclamation. Prairie Farms will be sponsoring ice cream and giveaways will be done by The Dairy Alliance. It will be from 11 am to 1 pm at the Extension Office.
June 26 will be the 6th annual Truck It Up. Food trucks will be setup in the parking lot across from City Hall. Food trucks scheduled include: Luxe Lemon of Columbia, Shoguns of Bowling Green, Mike and Amy’s Deli of Liberty, Happy Hawg of Columbia, The 5000 of Campbellsville, Wok This Way of Campbellsville, PJs Swirl and Twirl of Campbellsville, and Smoke and Smash of Campbellsville.
The 6th annual Paint The Town will be held on Thursday, July 16, on the public square. The square will be closed from 4 pm until 7 pm for the event. Organizations, individuals, churches, and groups will gather to paint (sidewalk chalk) on the square. If you would like to participate, please contact city hall. A location will be assigned to each participant.
We will be having a Summer Weekend July 9-11.
Deez Spudz of Somerset will be here on the 9th, and on the 10th Wicked Weiners, Wicked Liquid, Luxe Lemon, and Brothers Barbeque will be onsite; and, on Saturday, July 11, will be the Columbia Cruise In.
And, later in July on the 29th we will have our 4th annual Back To School Bash. Master Magician Lance Burton will be performing; along with special guests. If you would like to sponsor or setup for this activity, contact City Hall.
