Columbia Fire Department Provides Mutual Aid For Commercial Structure Fire On South Central Avenue In Campbellsville

Campbellsville Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a report of a commercial structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the building. Firefighters located heavy fire on the main floor, attic and a small fire in the basement. Firefighters extinguished the fire and provided overhaul. The cause of the fire is unknown but currently under investigation with CFD and the Kentucky State Fire Marshalls Office. No civilian injuries were reported. One firefighter had a medical illness that was not related to the fire call that did not require EMS transport.
