They had 641 calls for service during the month and 74 citations were issued.
27 accidents were investigated and 4 criminal cases were opened.
Nathan Ginn was hired during the month as a police officer; and, he completed two hours of the Department of Criminal Justice Training (mandatory online).
Sergeant Trevor Foster took K9 Cally to Lindsey Wilson University to demonstrate obedience/substance detection.
The Columbia Police Department started their annual Operation Christmas Spirit for assistance with the community during the holiday season.
The Columbia Police Department was awarded a Kentucky League of Cities Liability Grant; and, have been notified about one of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) COPS Grants they had made application for.
