Adair County injury collision


Columbia, Ky. (December 5, 2017) – Sgt. Morris Farris is investigating a collision that occurred on Monday, December 4, 2017 on White Oak Church Rd, in Adair County.  Tpr. Zachary Scott was operating a southbound 2015 Dodge Charger when he met a northbound 2011 Nissan Versa on a hill crest and collided driver side to driver side.  Both vehicles were damaged.  

The operator of the Nissan, 24-year-old Tiana Feese, of Columbia, and two passengers in her vehicle were wearing seatbelts.  Ms. Feese sustained minor injuries but was not treated.  

Tpr. Scott was also belted and was taken to Russell County Hospital where he was treated and released.

            A BOIL WATER ADVISORY is in effect for consumers of Columbia Adair Utilities District starting at 424 WAIN ST., Oak St., Ashley Court, Edna Dr., 401-581 Oak St.

The advisory has been issued due to main line break.

Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply therefore this Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure.

Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bring the water to a rolling boil for three minutes before using.

The advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality.
