Adair County Sheriff’s Office makes several arrests

On 08/16/2017 Sheriff Moss and Deputy Padgett were dispatched to a call on Keen Wilson Road Columbia on a welfare check. After making contact with 20 year old Adam Harris of Columbia, Harris became uncooperative. Harris was arrested on charges of Assault 3rd degree (on police officer), Resisting arrest, Disorderly conduct 2nd degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd degree.

Harris was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.

Sheriff Moss is reporting that on 08/17/2017 two Drug related arrests were made by Adair County Deputies.

21 year old Jonathan Dickson and 22 year old Dillon Burton both of Columbia were arrested early Thursday morning by Deputy Padgett on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of amphetamines and possession of controlled substance drug unspecified. Both were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Deputy Joey Keith assisted in the investigation.

On 08/17/2017 a traffic stop led to two arrests. 24 year old Nicole Longino-Teodoro of Jamestown was arrested on charges of Failure to register motor vehicle, Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol 1st offence, no or expired registration plates and Failure to maintain insurance. Also arrested was 36 year old Andrew Gaskin of Jamestown. Gaskin was charged with Trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, Possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree and tampering with physical evidence. Both were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Deputy Justin Cross and Deputy Joey Keith are investigating the incident.


The Lindsey Wilson College Wares Fair was a Success

The Chamber of Commerce's 11th Wares Fair that was attended by 350 students with 40 local businesses, churches and organizations showing the students what they have to offer and welcoming them to Columbia. Each vendor gave a $25 door prize and other give aways. Students were from literally across the world with the Chamber's grand prize of $250 being won by a young man from Kenya, Africa. LWC gave away $500 in grand prizes. LWC's Randy Burns and Abe Cross for emceed the event.


Columbia Police arrest two Adair County Residents on Drug related charges after early morning traffic stop.

   On 08-17-17 at 0130 CPD Officer Charles Greer and Josh Brockman initiated a traffic stop on Campbellsville Street on a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck for a moving violation. As a result of the stop two Adair county residents were arrested on multiple charges. Arrested was

33 year Latin Stotts on charges of

Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, Tampering with Physical evidence, and two outstanding Adair County District Court Warrants of Arrest served.

28 year old Kimberly Streeval

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 1 outstanding Adair County District Court Warrant of Arrest served

Both subjects were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Officer Brockman and Officer Greer are continuing the investigation


Murder in Metcalfe County

46-year-old Bobbie Lawson, of Summershade, KY, was arrested today and charged with Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Abuse of a Corpse.  Post 15 was contacted by the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Department in reference to a deceased person found at a residence on Nobob Summer Shade Road.  The investigation led to the arrest of Lawson who was lodged in the Metcalfe County Jail.  

The State Medical Examiner's office used fingerprint comparisons to confirm the identity of the deceased as 30-year-old Bobby L. Hubert, of Summer Shade, KY.  Hubert and Bobbie Lawson shared the residence where they became involved in an argument that led to Hubert being shot and killed by Lawson, who remains lodged in the Metcalfe County jail.  The investigation is ongoing.  Detective Kenny Brown is investigating.
