Columbia Police Department  would like to announce its second
venue for the drug forums .  In a series of meetings that started
in the City of Columbia at the Judicial Center , Columbia Police will
begin taking their message out into the county communities.

   On May 16th , 2017 at 6 pm we will be at the Breeding area Fire
Department .  We will be discussing several topics such as :

Growing use of illegal narcotics Crowing rate of addiction The rise of
health related issues such as Hepatitis Economics impacts on
community tax payers . Treatment programs How you can help!!    
There will be time for question and answer session  and  we will
discuss some things you might observe for that would indicate
possible drug activity in your area.  We was very pleased with the
turnout and participation we had at our first forum and we hope to
see you again .

On April 19th the Russell County Sheriff’s Department, along
with several partners, put on a “Ghost Out” at the Russell County
High School in efforts of educating the entire student body on the
dangers of Drunk & Distracted Driving.

Thanks to Hutch Digital & Duo-County Telecom, our “Ghost Out”
will be televised on Duo-County Telecom several times over the
next few weeks. We hope you and your family will watch this
special program.

The “Ghost Out” will be shown on Duo-County Telecom Channels
102 and 408 (HD) at 7:00 p.m. each Monday, Thursday, Friday and
Saturday through the date of Russell County High School’s Senior
graduation.
